It’s Almost Time: MommyCon Charlotte

I love events geared towards pregnancy and parenting from Big City Mom’s to the USO’s Special Delivery event (Shoutout to Heidi Murkoff), but my favorite event is MommyCon. MommyCon is a parenting  convention that promotes and celebrates natural parenting and lifestyle.  I’ve been able to attend 2 MommyCon events over the years. My first was MommyCon  DC in 2015, I attended MommyCon Atlanta this past October and I’ll be at MommyCon Charlotte on May 5th at the Charlotte Convention Center as long as the creek don’t rise or my water doesn’t break (with the  number of doulas, midwives and OBs that are usually there I think I’d probably be in good hands if I go into labor at MommyCon). If I could would go to every single MommyCon event and here’s 5 reasons why:

  1. Mommy Tribe: I’m always telling military spouses to find their community and expand. We spend some much time often away from family it’s so important that we build and expand our community and MommyCon is a great way to make connects. The MommyCon is a great way to get connected. I’ve made some awesome friends and business contacts at MommyCon. Whether you’re a first time mom, mom veteran, breastfeeding or bottle-feeding mama you will find your tribe at MommyCon.
  2. Try All the Things: Have you been eyeing some awesome baby product, trying to decide between a Tula or an Ergo or want to know if that baby food is any good? MommyCon is the place to press all of the proverbial “Try Me” buttons.
  3. Get the Tea: There are some much information to soak up at MommyCon. There are sessions throughout the day on various topics, there are folks specializing in various areas just waiting to answer your questions and give you the information you need.
  4. The Swag: When you attend MommyCon there are gift bags (depending on your ticket) with some amazing items and as you walk around the event site there will be plenty of vendors giving away free samples. In addition to the freebies vendors also have special discounts and offers for attendees.

More Swag and some discounted MommyCon buys
  5. The Prizes: MommyCon has a big giveaway at the end of the day and vendors also have raffles. Strollers, carseats, diaper bags, breast pumps, diapers, etc they give it all away!!! At the Atlanta MommyCon I won a gift set at the end of the day and my name was pulled for one of the vendor’s raffles.

It’s an amazing event and you really don’t want to miss it. You can get your tickets for MommyCon Charlotte Here and use my coupon code MILSPOUSE18 for a 10% savings. I hope to see you there!
